This is the thing clients lose the most sleep over, so here is the honest answer, in the order it matters.
START WITH WHAT YOU ALREADY OWN
The pieces that photograph best are almost never the ones bought in a panic the week before. A white button down shirt. A bodysuit. His flannel. A robe in a soft color. High waisted underwear that actually fits. Fabric that skims instead of gripping. If it makes you stand up straighter when you put it on, bring it.
THREE TO FIVE LOOKS
That is the range that fills a session without rushing it. Build them to be different from each other rather than five versions of the same black lace: one classic set, one bodysuit or one piece, one oversized shirt or sweater, one thing that feels like you at home, and one wildcard you would never normally wear.
COLORS THAT WORK ON CAMERA
Ivory, black, deep red, emerald and dusty rose all photograph beautifully. Neon and busy prints fight the light and date the images fast. Avoid brand new bright white against very pale skin, and if you love white, ivory is kinder on camera.
FIT MATTERS MORE THAN PRICE
A $25 piece that fits will always outshoot a $200 piece that does not. Try everything on at home, sit down in it, and check the back. Bring the size you are today, not the size you plan to be.
WHAT TO SKIP
Anything with a tight elastic waist or bra straps that dig in, because the marks last for an hour. Tights with heavy seams. Anything you have to keep adjusting. Shoes are optional, though a heel does nice things for a leg line.
THE PRACTICAL LIST
Nude and black seamless underwear. A strapless bra. Any jewelry you want in the images. Your own robe for between looks. Do not shave or wax the same day, give your skin at least 24 hours.
STILL STUCK?
Once you book, you get our full wardrobe guide, and we will go through your pieces with you before the session. You can also call or text the studio at 928-263-8229 and we will talk it through.
INVESTMENT
While most of our clients invest around $2,500 into their luxury boudoir experience, we do have sessions starting at only $799 for those wanting to dip their toes into boudoir.
